Delete Your Account

You can request deletion of your Jiveocity account and associated data at any time. This page explains how, and what happens to your data.
Delete from the app (recommended)
- Open the Jiveocity app on your device
- Go to the Profile tab
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion
Can't access the app?
If you can no longer log into the app (lost access, uninstalled the app, etc.), you can request deletion by emailing us at:
support [at] jiveocity [dot] com
Please include the email address or phone number associated with your account so we can locate it. We will process your request within 30 days.
What happens when you delete your account
Immediately
- Your profile is hidden from all other users
- You are removed from Discover, People, Likes, and Places feeds
- Your active check-ins are ended
- Other users can no longer see your profile, photos, or send you messages
30-day grace period
If you log back in within 30 days, you'll be given the option to restore your account with all your data intact. After 30 days, your data is permanently deleted.
What gets permanently deleted
- Your account credentials (email / phone)
- Your profile information (name, birthday, bio, photos, interests)
- Your location history and check-in records
- Your likes, matches, and conversations
- Your messages (in conversations you initiated)
- Your Connect Credits balance and subscription entitlements
- Your push notification tokens
- Your blocks and reports you made
What may be retained
- Messages you sent to other users are retained in their conversation history, shown as from a deleted user
- Reports filed against you by other users, retained for safety and moderation purposes
- Anonymized aggregate data (e.g., total user counts, analytics) that cannot be linked back to you
- Transactional records required for tax or legal compliance, as mandated by law
- Backups for up to 90 days, after which they are purged
Subscriptions
Deleting your Jiveocity account does not automatically cancel an active Jiveocity Plus subscription. You must cancel the subscription separately through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store:
Connect Credits
Any unused Connect Credits are forfeited on account deletion and are non-refundable. We recommend using them before deleting your account.
